International designer, Adam Nathaniel Furman and Esther Patterson, designer and founder of Curiousa & Curiousa, bring their skills together to create an exciting set of glass sculptural light pieces called the Glowbules.

Adam was invited, with Esther as collaborator, to create their range as part of Future Heritage at Decorex International, a leading showcase for emerging and established talents in British craft. There will be 10 designers, creating new, one-off pieces to be exhibited at the show at Olympia London, 10-13 October 2021.

Curated by Corinne Julius, Future Heritage will become a key highlight of the show once more. Future Heritage pioneers the promotion of contemporary craft where each emerging or established designer creates new, one-off pieces to be exhibited at Decorex.

Adam says "Collaborating during covid has often been difficult, but despite the challenging conditions, developing the Glowbules range with Curiousa & Curiousa has been an absolute and untrammelled joy, a ray of light in a difficult period that has hopefully given birth to a group of lights that others will find as hope-filled and happy as I do. The perfect testimony to a wonderful relationship & experience…".

The lights will be exhibited alongside the other designers’ work on the stand. With two 1.2m Beam Pendants, two 1.5m Floor Lamps, a Table Lamp and a Stacked Pendant, it’s sure to be a lighting design collaboration that will turn heads at Decorex.

Esther says of the collaboration with Adam, “It was an amazing privilege to be asked to be part of the Future Heritage project at Decorex. Working with another designer like Adam is exciting in the way that it pushes me to search for solutions to make his vision happen. This project has thrown up many challenges, especially in this semi-pandemic recovery environment. New lighting designs are taking longer to realise and there have certainly been some nail biting moments, but I can’t wait for everyone to see the final designs - they really will stand out.”
